A payment error occurred on Naver Pay, the simple payment service of Naver, on the 19th. Naver Pay said in a notice that it is working to identify the cause of the payment error and restore service.
The disruption was found to have begun around 12 p.m. that day. When users tried to pay with Naver Pay, a failure message appeared, and there were continued cases where orders were not completed during online shopping or points could not be checked.
Naver Pay said, "An error has occurred in some services, and we are urgently checking," and added, "We apologize for the inconvenience." It went on, "We are taking steps for a swift normalization and will post an additional notice as soon as recovery is completed." However, the completion time for recovery has not yet been provided.
According to the company, the error caused problems in several functions, including ▲ failure to check points in the order form and payment failure ▲ inability to view payment and event histories ▲ restrictions on in-person payments and point/money payments ▲ failures in Pay Money Card payments.
