Bithumb said on the 12th that Bithumb Nanum, an in-house volunteer group launched in Feb. 2024, has helped more than 40,000 vulnerable people in our society over the past two years.
Bithumb Nanum visited and communicated with a wide range of marginalized groups, including wildfire sites in Yeongdeok and Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, as well as childcare facilities, special schools, multicultural families, and people with disabilities, delivering relief supplies.
Since March last year, it has expanded the scope of sharing by starting sponsorship of the KBS program "Companion." For families featured on "Companion," KBS's flagship public-interest program, it provides computer installation and office programs, offering practical support to the participants.
Bithumb Nanum's continuous and systematic social contribution activities have also led to commendations from local organizations. Bithumb Nanum received recognition for its community-engaged social contribution by winning commendations, including a citation from the chair of the Seoul Metropolitan Council last year, as well as citations from the Dongdaemun District Office head and the Gangnam District Office head.
To more systematically promote a culture of sharing going forward, Bithumb Nanum also opened its official website. A Bithumb official said, "Going forward, Bithumb Nanum will continue to visit neighbors in need, communicate with them, and bring about warm change."
