Meritz Securities said on the 9th that it was selected for "Win-Wires," a global best-practice program by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the leader in cloud computing. This is the first among domestic financial firms.
"Win-Wires" is a program in which AWS selects and introduces outstanding cases of adopting technology using its cloud. The main evaluation criterion is not simply whether the cloud is used for work, but whether structural innovation has been achieved that breaks industry conventions.
Meritz Securities was recognized for the technological capability of building 100% of all services for a new community platform, planned for release in the first half of this year, in a cloud environment. The company adopted a design from the initial stage that operates purely in a cloud environment, considering future service expansion and operational efficiency.
Meritz Securities explained that by automatically adjusting cloud usage according to market conditions, it is preparing to enable stable operations even in a retail service environment with large transaction volume fluctuations. Ahead of the official service launch, the company is currently building the platform with a focus on internal testing and stability verification.
Lee Jang-uk, head of the Innoviz Division at Meritz Securities, said, "This selection is meaningful in that the platform's direction and technical approach pursued by the division have been recognized by global standards," adding, "We will focus on securing technical completeness and stability until the official launch."
