Hanwha Aerospace shares plunged in early trading on the 6th.
As of 9:22 a.m. on the 6th, Hanwha Aerospace stock was trading on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) down 9.21% (113,000 won) from the previous day at 1,114,000 won. Before the market opened, in the premarket session, Hanwha Aerospace also plunged and at one point hit the lower price limit.
It appears to have been affected as the KOSPI index plunged on negative news from the United States. Overnight, all three major New York indexes closed lower. First, U.S. jobs data showed a slowdown, dampening investor sentiment. In addition, concerns grew over capital expenditure related to artificial intelligence (AI), dragging down AI-related stocks.
The KOSPI index is also plunging. The KOSPI started trading at 5,013.15, down 150.42 points (2.91%) from the previous session, and during the session the 5,000 level broke.
