Samsung Electronics' market capitalization surpassed 1,000 trillion won for the first time.
According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on Feb. 4, Samsung Electronics was trading at 168,900 won as of 3:02 p.m., up 1,400 won (0.84%) from the previous trading day. Its current market capitalization is 999.2349 trillion won.
At around 2:20 p.m., it was trading at 169,400 won, with a market capitalization of 1,002.7867 trillion won.
Samsung Electronics' market capitalization is assessed to be about No. 16 globally. According to the market cap aggregation site TradingView, the world's No. 1 by market cap that day was Nvidia at about 6,450 trillion won, followed by Alphabet in second. Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Saudi Aramco, and TSMC were also among the top ranks.
Among Asian corporations, it ranks third after TSMC and Tencent. TSMC's market capitalization is about 2,530 trillion won, placing it 10th globally, and Tencent is about 1,004 trillion won, ranking 15th.
