The Financial Supervisory Service said on the 29th that it added 75 cases to the "dispute mediation cases" on its website and improved how they are disclosed. The goal is to make it easier for consumers to find cases similar to their own disputes and to help them better understand the insurance products they have purchased.
After this improvement, a total of 160 insurance dispute mediation cases can be viewed on the Financial Supervisory Service website. Until now, dispute mediation cases were provided mainly by broad categories such as life insurance, non-life insurance, and auto insurance, making it difficult for consumers to find the cases they needed. In response, the Financial Supervisory Service subdivided cases by insurance type and collateral so that when consumers select the collateral they need, they can immediately view a list of related dispute mediation cases.
Previously, it was difficult for consumers to judge from the title alone whether a case was similar to their dispute situation. The Financial Supervisory Service will clearly reflect the cause of the dispute and the outcome in the title going forward, allowing consumers to grasp the key points of a dispute at a glance from the title alone.
The Financial Supervisory Service plans to continue disclosing practical cases accumulated during the dispute mediation process, helping consumers understand insurance disputes more easily and make their own judgments.
