Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Consulting Korea and Omelet, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based industrial decision-making platform company, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 26th. The two corporations said the agreement aims to build an AI-based cooperation system to advance decision-making and optimize operations across supply chains and logistics.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to automate and optimize complex decisions that arise at every stage of the supply chain with AI and to jointly build an execution-focused integrated SCM innovation model that does not stop at strategy development but leads to actual operating results.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Consulting is a global consulting corporation that has carried out strategy development, process innovation, and digital transformation consulting, including supply chain and logistics, across manufacturing, distribution, finance, and other industries. Through this collaboration, it plans to strengthen execution so clients' supply chain strategies are practically implemented at the field operations stage by combining AI-based optimization technology with its existing consulting methodologies.
In particular, it plans to translate each corporation's differing supply chain structures and business needs into an AI-based optimization model to help ensure strategies lead to actual operating results.
Bae Jae-min, head of Deloitte Consulting Korea, said, "This partnership is an important turning point where supply chain strategy consulting connects to actual operating results," adding, "By embedding AI optimization technology into the consulting process, we expect to solve clients' complex supply chain problems faster and more precisely, and to raise both the speed and quality of decision-making."
Omelet is a KAIST faculty-founded startup established in 2023 that independently developed the industrial decision-making platform "OaaSIS," which combines AI and mathematical optimization technology.
OaaSIS supports AI-based optimized decision-making across the entire SCM process, including purchasing, orders, warehouse operations, packaging, shipping, and transportation. In particular, it features an AI agent that makes its own judgments and draws conclusions across industries based on a proprietary reasoning-based optimization AI foundation model. On the back of this technology, Omelet secured pre-Series A investment from Korea Development Bank and Hyundai Venture Investment.
Park Jin-gyu, head of Omelet, said, "Cooperation with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Consulting, which has global consulting expertise, is an opportunity to greatly expand the scope and depth of Omelet's industrial applications," adding, "OaaSIS will accelerate decision-making automation across the entire SCM and, combined with Deloitte Consulting's broad industry understanding, will enable corporations to realize both operational efficiency and digital transformation."
Based on this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated SCM AI solution that combines Omelet's AI coverage across the entire SCM with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Consulting's customer touchpoints and consulting capabilities, and to promote expansion into domestic and overseas markets targeting a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and finance. Through this, they intend to support automation of decision-making and optimization of operations across supply chains and to bolster corporations' sustainable competitiveness.
