Kyobo Securities said on the 26th that it was selected for a second straight year as an outstanding project in the Seoul National University KDT (K-Digital Training) education program "Capstone Project."
The "KDT Capstone Project" is an industry-academia cooperation program to cultivate core digital talent, in which corporations practitioners and trainees form teams to carry out tasks from real industrial sites.
Kyobo Securities showcased the "Algorithm Trading Research MCP (Model Context Protocol)" in this project and was selected as an outstanding project.
This project is characterized by implementing a methodology that uses a large language model (LLM) to generate algorithmic trading strategies and systematically validate them through an MCP server. In particular, it said the project received high marks for building a dedicated server specialized for quant investing and effectively incorporating core AI technology into practice.
Shin Hyeon-cheol, head of Kyobo Securities' Quant Management Department, said, "This industry-academia cooperation is meaningful in that it cultivated digital talent with practical capabilities," and added, "We will apply the latest technologies, including AI, across financial services to deliver advanced investment strategies and a differentiated customer experience."
