Kim Jin-hong, Director General of the Financial Industry Bureau at the Financial Services Commission (40th civil service exam cohort), received the Red Stripes Order of Service Merit in recognition of her contribution to spreading "inclusive finance."
The Financial Services Commission said on the 16th that it conferred government commendations on outstanding public officials who delivered results through proactive administration. A total of 11 people were selected for this round of awards, including six outstanding public officials, three recipients of the Korea Public Officials Award, and two model public officials.
The Financial Services Commission said Director General Kim, who served as head of the Financial Consumer Bureau in 2025, was recognized for contributing to expanding inclusive finance through programs such as the New Leap Fund and the Youth Future Installment Savings. The Red Stripes Order of Service Merit is the highest order that can be awarded to Grade 2–3 public officials.
Director Seo Na-yun received a presidential citation for leading support measures to help diligent repayers restore credit, including credit amnesty, and Director Song Byung-gwan received a presidential citation for helping lay the groundwork for the economic recovery of vulnerable groups by writing off long-term delinquent debts.
The Financial Services Commission granted promotion incentives to awardees at the working-level grade (Grade 5 and below). The Assistant Deputy Director selected as a model public official will be promoted to Deputy Director in the first half of this year.
