Kiwoom Securities will roll out a chat-style community service that lets investors watch stock charts and market conditions and exchange opinions with other investors in real time.
Kiwoom Securities said on the 16th it will introduce a service that combines stock information and chat features in its smartphone application HeroS#. Users can check a chart or price information for an individual stock and join a chat room from the same screen.
The service is designed to let investors see in real time how the market is being viewed and to share opinions on stocks or market trends. A key feature is that users do not have to switch between separate community apps or message boards.
However, given that stock communities can overheat or see side effects, Kiwoom Securities adopted a "dual management system" in which artificial intelligence (AI) and professional staff monitor together. Acts that incite purchases of specific stocks, abusive language or defamation, and false information that could disrupt the market will be detected and managed in real time through an AI-based automatic detection system, the company said.
It also set community operation standards. The policy aims to reduce user confusion by establishing consistent rules on what expressions and behaviors are allowed and when sanctions are imposed.
A Kiwoom Securities official said, "We will guarantee free opinion exchange, but strictly restrict actions that harm specific users or undermine market trust," adding, "We focused on creating a communication space that investors can use with relative confidence."
