The Korea Insurance Development Institute said on the 16th that it donated 50 million won in prize money from the Daesan Insurance Grand Prize to Seoul National University Children's Hospital to support pediatric medical care. The Daesan Insurance Grand Prize is awarded by the Daesan Shin Yong-ho Memorial Association, which commemorates Shin Yong-ho, the founder of Kyobo Life Insurance, to individuals and organizations that contributed to the development of the insurance industry.
The Korea Insurance Development Institute said it decided to support medical care for children, the future of the nation, to make the meaning of winning the Daesan Insurance Grand Prize even more significant. Heo Chang-eon, head of the Korea Insurance Development Institute, said the institute will take the lead in fostering the growth of the insurance industry and building a kinder society.
