Ha Tae-kyung, head of the Insurance Training Institute, said on the 13th that the institute will leap forward as Asia's leader in online insurance education by integrating an artificial intelligence (AI) learning system, and noted that through high-level localization of insurance education content, it expects to cultivate local insurance professionals with expertise and ethics.
Ha held a New Year press briefing that day and stated accordingly that entering the overseas insurance education market is the first time in the institute's 60 years since its founding.
Ha cited Vietnam as the first overseas education project. The Insurance Training Institute is promoting related projects in cooperation with Korea-based insurers that have entered Vietnam. Following Vietnam, the institute plans to expand its education business to Asian countries where Korea-based insurers have advanced, including Indonesia. The institute established a global business team this year through an organizational restructuring.
The Insurance Training Institute is preparing to establish an AI subsidiary. Ha said that during the process of preparing to establish the subsidiary, two corporations, including an overseas corporation, are at the stage of drafting letters of intent, and the institute is also in talks with additional corporations.
The Insurance Training Institute is also pursuing a joint digital asset certification with the Singapore Blockchain Association. In line with the institutionalization of stablecoins, the institute is also pushing a plan to introduce an automatic payment system for commercialization.
