Investors faced difficulties with stock transaction as a system failure occurred early on the 5th in the mobile trading system (MTS) of Korea Investment & Securities Co. and elsewhere.
According to the financial investment industry on the 5th, connection errors occurred from 9:02 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. that day. When users tried to access the MTS "MY" tab and events, connections were delayed.
As the KOSPI hit an all-time high and broke through the 4,400 level that day, the MTS error added to investor inconvenience.
Korea Investment & Securities Co. said there were delays accessing the MTS "MY" tab and event-related pages, but logins and orders were unaffected. A Korea Investment & Securities Co. official added, "The issue was resolved from 9:20 a.m., and normal service resumed."
Meanwhile, around 9:25 a.m. that day, some investors also experienced connection errors in the web trading system (WTS) of Naver Pay Securities. According to users, when accessing individual stocks, the message "Due to a temporary error, the chart cannot be loaded" appeared. The WTS returned to normal around 9:35 a.m.
