Shinyoung Securities said on Jan. 5 that it held a New Year's event on Jan. 2 to mark the Year of the Byeongo and celebrate the company's 70th anniversary.
The New Year's event began with executives and employees exchanging handshakes and New Year's greetings on the first commute of the year. It was followed by a tteokguk lunch and a New Year's concert among other programs. To commemorate the Year of the Byeongo, there was also a time to present souvenirs with a "horse" motif during the morning commute.
Shinyoung Securities selected "Jongsim (從心)" as the slogan for the Year of the Byeongo in 2026, the company's 70th anniversary. "Jongsim (從心)" is a phrase from the Analects, Weizheng chapter, meaning that by age 70, one can follow the heart's desires without transgressing the rules. The company said it reflects a commitment to advance, grounded in the principles and trust built over 70 years, while adhering to the right path without wavering amid change.
A Shinyoung Securities official said, "To mark the meaningful 70th anniversary, we organized this event so that all employees could look back on Shinyoung Securities' footsteps and reflect across generations on the company's history and the values it has pursued," and added, "Throughout this year, we will continue striving to solidify our competitiveness by providing customers with optimal, customized services."
