On the 2nd, President Hong Won-hak of Samsung Life Insurance said in a New Year's address that the "life-care integrated finance platform" should become another name that calls to the future Samsung Life Insurance.
Hong said, "Customers no longer want just a single insurance product," adding, "They want care that spans health, asset, and all aspects of daily life. Only by going beyond the boundaries of the traditional insurance business can we lead the future."
Hong also said, "Artificial intelligence (AI) is not a choice but a core keyword of management," explaining, "We need a sweeping transition so that AI is not just something we sense but something we internalize."
Hong said, "In every process of creating, selling, and managing products, always ask, 'Is this truly beneficial to the customer?'" and added, "We must establish a 'preemptive consumer protection culture' that identifies and prevents potential risks in advance, rather than cleaning up after problems erupt."
Hong went on to emphasize, "We must focus not on quantitative growth that simply increases size, but on qualitative growth that changes our fundamentals."
