Ted Chung, vice chair of Hyundai Card and Hyundai Commercial, said in a New Year's address on the 2nd, "2025 was the year when Hyundai Card and Hyundai Commercial delivered major results in every respect, including growth and profit and loss," adding, "In 2026, the tasks will be sustaining growth and responding wisely to unexpected external variables."
Chung also emphasized, "If through 2025 was the 'build-up' phase of newly designing and reshaping the vessel, form, and size of the Hyundai Card and Hyundai Commercial businesses, then starting in 2026 we need the sophistication that builds on simplicity in the 'advancement' phase to take it a step further."
Chung explained, "Good examples include 'Architect of Change,' which streamlined and advanced credit card products; Hyundai Commercial's industrial finance, which redefined and advanced the business; and the tech domain that defined AI unique to Hyundai Card and Hyundai Commercial."
