Luo Zhipeng, CEO of Yuanta Securities Korea, said on the 2nd that this year the company will put "sustainable profitability" and "customer-centricity" as the top priorities of management and focus all capabilities on structural improvements and qualitative growth to achieve them.
Luo said in a New Year's message that "in a market environment where uncertainty persists this year, revenue polarization among securities firms will deepen," adding, "In such an environment, differences in results will become more apparent depending on the direction and execution of strategy, so we must execute the company's capabilities under a clear direction."
He noted that the company must build talent competitiveness to strengthen its capabilities. Luo said, "We must actively develop and recruit outstanding talent, and create an environment where each person's capabilities can be fully demonstrated." He added, "While adhering to the principles of fair evaluation and reasonable compensation, we will build a flexible evaluation and compensation system so that the value of exceptional performance is fully reflected."
He also said the company will reorganize services overall from a customer-centric perspective. "Through digital advancement, we must further expand customer touchpoints and strengthen our ability to provide customized services by precisely analyzing each customer's needs," he said. He also explained, "By reflecting the principles of consumer protection in our service system, we will build customer trust and, based on that, expand market share."
He emphasized that risk management and internal controls are the basic premise of sustainable growth. Luo said, "Systematic financial and operational risk management and compliance are the basic premise for sustainable growth," and reiterated, "Only on an organizational culture where principles and standards are practiced consistently is stable profitability achievable."
Lastly, he said, "This year will be a year of difficult challenges, but if we move forward unwaveringly with the spirit of 'where there is a will, there is a way' ('youjigyeongseong'), we will surely achieve our goals."
Meanwhile, in the lobby on the first floor of the Anchor One headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, employees of Yuanta Securities Korea exchanged New Year's greetings with handshakes and words of encouragement, wishing one another good luck and health. In particular, Luo and executives based at headquarters personally handed out "Yuanta Fortune Candy" to employees arriving for work and shared New Year deokdam.
