Kim Sung-joo, the current BNK Capital CEO, has been confirmed as the next Busan Bank president.
BNK Financial Group on the 31st convened its subsidiary CEO candidate recommendation committee and confirmed Kim as Busan Bank president and Son Dae-jin, Busan Bank vice president, as BNK Capital CEO.
The terms of President Kim and CEO Son will run for two years starting Jan. 1 next year. The committee said it appointed the CEOs "after a multifaceted vetting process, including document screening, interview evaluations and background checks."
The committee decided to retain four leaders: Shin Myung-ho, BNK Investment & Securities CEO; Kim Young-moon, BNK Savings Bank CEO; Jung Sung-jae, BNK Venture Investment CEO; and Park Il-yong, BNK Systems CEO. Their terms will run for one year starting Jan. 1 next year. A BNK Financial official said it was "a decision to ensure management continuity and stable growth."
