Kyobo Securities said on the 30th that it carried out a reorganization to proactively respond to the rapidly changing financial environment and strengthen its mid- to long-term growth base.
First, to boost the execution of support units, the existing change innovation support office will be reorganized into a two-office system of the management support office and the human resources support office.
It also strengthened the companywide strategy function. Under the planning department, it created a future strategy team tasked with artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX), digital asset business, and group data strategy. Through this, it plans to push ahead with building a mid- to long-term growth base.
In the IB division, the existing structured investment finance headquarters was subdivided into the structured finance headquarters, the investment finance headquarters, and the project finance headquarters. In particular, the structured finance headquarters will operate under a two-unit system to strengthen profitability and expertise at the same time.
It also moved in parallel to strengthen the organization for expanding the digital asset business. Under the digital support headquarters, it created a digital planning department and expanded and reorganized the existing Digital Asset Biz team into the Digital Asset Biz department. Through this, it aims to enhance execution across the digital asset business, including commercialization and infrastructure building for security tokens (STO), as well as external partnerships and investment linkages.
In the asset management division, to strengthen service for high-net-worth individual (HNWI) clients, it created a premium branch reporting directly to the head of the asset management division, the "PREMIER GOLD Daechi Center."
A Kyobo Securities official said, "This reorganization is a move to enhance execution centered on key growth areas such as AI, digital assets, IB, and asset management," adding, "We will advance our business structure around future growth sectors to sustain growth."
