Kim Sung-ju, the current BNK Capital CEO, has been tapped as the next head of Busan Bank.
BNK Financial Group on the 30th convened the subsidiary CEO candidate recommendation committee and recommended Kim as the final candidate for head of Busan Bank and Son Dae-jin, a Busan Bank vice president, as the final candidate for BNK Capital CEO.
The committee decided to extend the terms of the CEOs of four subsidiaries—BNK Investment & Securities, BNK Savings Bank, BNK Venture Investment and BNK Systems—by one year.
Once the final candidates are recommended by the committee, each company's Nominating Committee and other bodies will again verify eligibility and suitability, and the boards of directors will finalize the candidates. They will then be formally appointed following resolutions at the subsidiaries' extraordinary general meetings of shareholders. Terms begin Jan. 1 next year.
