On the 26th, the KOSPI index is rising intraday on buying by foreign and institutional investors.
As of 11:50 a.m., the KOSPI index is up 32 points (0.78%) from the previous day at 4,140.62.
In the main board, foreigners and institutions are buying 998.5 billion won and 359.3 billion won, respectively. Individuals are net selling 1.3496 trillion won.
Among large-cap stocks, Samsung Electronics is more than 5% higher. SK hynix is also up nearly 3%. In contrast, LG Energy Solution (-1.66%), Doosan Enerbility (-1.58%), KB Financial Group (-1.15%), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-0.96%), Kia (-0.83%), and Hyundai Motor (-0.35%) are lower.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is slightly up 0.82 point (0.09%) from the previous day at 916.02. In the KOSDAQ market, only institutions recorded net purchases of 76.2 billion won, while foreigners and institutions sold shares worth 56.1 billion won and 5.9 billion won.
Top KOSDAQ names by market cap are mixed. Alteogen (2.67%), LigaChem Biosciences (1.62%), ABL Bio (0.85%), and EcoPro (0.31%) are rising, while Rainbow Robotics (-1.87%), Kolon TissueGene (-1.63%), Peptron (-0.65%), EcoPro BM (-0.63%), and HLB (-0.32%) are weak.
In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar rate is 1,431.90 won per U.S. dollar as of the same time, down 13.8 won from the previous transaction day.
