Shinhyup said on the 24th that more than 7,000 users per month on average have visited the Shinhyup Jeju Training Institute, which opened in March this year in Aewol-eup, Jeju City.
A Shinhyup official said, "Visits by Shinhyup executives, employees, and members from across the country are leading to increased local spending on lodging, food, and tourism," and added, "This is creating a tangible ripple effect on the Jeju regional economy."
Following the opening of the Jeju Training Institute, Shinhyup also signed a "Jeju regional economy revitalization agreement" with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office on June — . Through this, it built a cooperation model based on learncation (learning travel) that combines education and tourism. In practice, Shinhyup is operating the "Jeju value empathy learncation" program at the Jeju Training Institute, integrating Jeju's history, nature, and culture into the curriculum.
Shinhyup Jeju Training Institute is also participating in the "good store revitalization project," which returns a portion of sales to the local community, in cooperation with the Aewol-eup office. In addition, when trainees and users of the institute visit partner merchants in the area, it offers discounts, simultaneously promoting local consumption and spreading a culture of sharing.
On the 24th of last month, it held a cultural event, "Let's go together with the Shinhyup Training Institute Concert," on the lawn plaza of the Shinhyup Jeju Training Institute glamping site for trainees and local residents. About 180 people attended the event, and singer Insooni performed, drawing a strong response from residents.
Shinhyup Jeju Training Institute is also carrying out social contribution activities for vulnerable groups in the region.
