With foreigners and institutions turning to net buying, the KOSPI index was rising on the morning of the 23rd. The KOSDAQ index turned lower during the morning.
As of 11:33 a.m., the KOSPI index was up 21.04 points (0.51%) at 4,126.97. The KOSPI started the session at 4,127.40, up 21.47 points (0.52%) from the previous day.
The main board is being led by foreigners and institutions that have shifted to net buying. With individuals alone net selling 761.4 billion won, foreigners and institutions are net buying 413.7 billion won and 386.1 billion won, respectively.
Six of the top 10 stocks by market cap on the main board are falling. Samsung Electronics, SK hynix and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries are rising, but LG Energy Solution, Samsung Biologics, Hyundai Motor, Doosan Enerbility, KB Financial and Kia are declining.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was down 6.88 points (0.74%) at 622.26 from the previous trading day. The KOSDAQ started up 3.34 points (0.36%) at 932.48 from the previous day but turned lower during the morning session.
The KOSDAQ market is being led by individuals and institutions. Individuals and institutions are net buying 242.8 billion won and 9.8 billion won, respectively, while foreigners alone are net selling 184.2 billion won.
In the KOSDAQ market, six of the top 10 stocks by market cap are rising. Alteogen, ABL Bio, Rainbow Robotics, LigaChem Biosciences, HLB and Peptron are climbing, while EcoPro BM, EcoPro, Kolon TissueGene and Sam Chun Dang Pharm are declining.
Meanwhile, in the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar rate was 1,478.90 won, up 1.10 won from the previous trading day.
