The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants said on the 22nd that it published a book titled Easy guide to sustainability assurance.
The newly published book is the fourth publication in the sustainability series, following Seeing ESG correctly: A guide to ESG for management, ESG in one book: Core lectures by ESG experts, and Practical ESG disclosure: Let's at least know this.
The book Easy guide to sustainability assurance focuses on sustainability assurance. Practitioners in sustainability assurance at accounting firms and researchers at The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, among other external audit experts, took part in writing it. It broadly covers what is needed to understand sustainability assurance, including the concept, related standards, practical reference points, and domestic and international policy trends. The book is available at major bookstores and on the website of The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chair Choi said, "I hope this newly published book will serve as a useful guide not only for certified public accountants who carry out or are preparing for sustainability assurance work, but also for corporate management and practitioners, as well as researchers in related fields," adding, "It will also be a helpful compass for the general public to understand the importance and role of sustainability assurance."
Choi added, "The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants will continue to make sustained efforts to ensure the successful establishment of sustainability assurance."
Meanwhile, The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants is carrying out a range of support programs for sustainability work, including publishing sustainability books, hosting the Sustainability Assurance Forum, and running the ESG Academy.
