Mirae Asset Venture Investment shares jumped on the 18th on news that Elon Musk's aerospace company SpaceX is pushing for a listing. Mirae Asset Group was previously reported to have invested $278 million in SpaceX in 2022 and 2023.
As of 9:45 a.m., Mirae Asset Venture Investment stock was trading on the KOSDAQ market at 13,230 won, up 20.71% (2,270 won) from the previous day.
SpaceX, the private space development company of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, is expected to list on the U.S. stock market in the second half of next year through an initial public offering (IPO).
Earlier, Mirae Asset Group was reported to have invested a total of $278 million in SpaceX in 2022 and 2023. If SpaceX goes public and is recognized with a corporate value in the hundreds of billions of dollars, the value of the equity held by Mirae Asset Group is also expected to rise significantly.
