A total of 12,692 visitors attended the event. The expo, under the theme "FinTech×AI, The Personalization of Finance," was organized to look ahead to the future of hyper-personalized financial services enabled by combining Fintech and artificial intelligence (AI). A total of 99 exhibition booths were installed with participation from 128 corporations and institutions, and 13 seminars by specialty were held, making it the largest event ever.
Chairperson Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission delivered a welcome address at the opening event, and global speakers including Sopnendu Mohanty, CEO of GFTN (Global Finance & Technology Network), and Kiran Kumar Kesavarapu, director of industry solutions and architecture for Asia-Pacific at Google Cloud, attended.
After the opening ceremony, Commissioner Lee Eog-weon visited the exhibition hall to personally experience innovative services from leading domestic Fintech corporations and new services unveiled by financial companies using Fintech technology, and encouraged participating corporations from Korea and abroad.
Renowned speakers from Korea and abroad took part in the specialty seminars held over three days. Deepak Ramanathan, a vice president at SAS, which leads in data analytics and is prominent in AI, said at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) that AI and agentic AI are being highlighted as key drivers of corporate growth, while emphasizing the importance of responsible and ethical governance in the use of AI.
Bickey Russell, head of startup and small-business growth for the Asia-Pacific region at Stripe, a Fintech decacorn valued at $10 billion or more, also stressed that AI is driving innovation in global payment platforms.
In addition, major domestic specialized institutions such as the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, the Korea Credit Information Services, the Financial Security Institute, and the Korea Insurance Research Institute joined the seminars to share outlooks on the future financial environment, focusing on topics that reflect each institution's expertise, including real-time detection of AI-based voice phishing and money laundering, AI and data infrastructure service platforms, safety evaluations of AI models from a global perspective, and ways for AI and insurance to coexist.
The expo also ran an investment attraction program to support fundraising, cited as a major challenge for Fintech corporations. The Korea Development Bank held the "KDB NextRound Fintech Special Round," where five promising Fintech startups—Softment, IOLora, PayHere, SwitchOne, and C&Tech—conducted IR, and many investment institutions, including Hyosung Ventures, SBVA, and Intervest, were reportedly reviewing investments.

After competition among the four teams that made the finals, "ThinkPlanDo" won the Chairperson's Award (grand prize), and a total of nine teams were ultimately selected, including three excellence award teams and five encouragement award teams.
