A spac (special purpose acquisition company) is a shell company established solely for mergers and acquisitions of corporations. It must merge with a high-quality unlisted corporation within three years. If it fails to find a merger target, it is automatically delisted.
As of 9:45 a.m. that day, Kyobo No. 19 Spac was trading on the KOSDAQ market at 3,760 won, up 1,760 won (88%) from its offer price of 2,000 won. At the same time, Kiwoom Hero No. 1 Spac was also trading at 2,690 won, up 690 won (34.5%) from its offer price of 2,000 won.
Kyobo No. 19 Spac was established solely for mergers and acquisitions of corporations. It can merge only in 12 sectors, including renewable energy, biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, IT convergence systems, carbon-reduction energy, and LED applications.
The merger sectors for Kiwoom Hero No. 1 Spac are seven areas: electronics and telecommunications, software and services, automobiles, materials, bio and medical, and energy.
