As of 11:46 a.m., the KOSPI was down 3.15 points (0.08%) from the previous day at 4,140.4. After opening higher, the KOSPI turned lower as selling by institutions and foreigners poured in.
In the main board, institutions posted net sales of 213.8 billion won and 66.9 billion won, respectively. Individuals alone sold 267.1 billion won.
Among top market-cap stocks, all were falling except SK hynix (3.18%) and Doosan Enerbility (0.26%). Hanwha Aerospace was down more than 3%, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-1.73%), Hyundai Motor (-1.30%), Samsung Biologics (-0.90%), Kia (-0.73%), and LG Energy Solution (-0.11%) were also lower.,
At the same time, the KOSDAQ was up 2.14 points (0.23%) from the previous day at 933.49. On the KOSDAQ market, only individuals were net buyers, at 109.9 billion won. Institutions and foreigners sold 52.4 billion won and 15.8 billion won in stocks, respectively.
Among top KOSDAQ market-cap stocks, the light turned red. Sam Chun Dang Pharm and ABL Bio were each up more than 6% and 5%. Kolon TissueGene, LigaChem Biosciences, and Peptron were up around 2%, while Rainbow Robotics (1.63%), EcoPro (1.53%), and EcoPro BM (0.30%) were also rising. By contrast, HLB and Alteogen fell 1.93% and 0.98%, respectively.
In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar (won per U.S. dollar) rate was at 1,470.5 won as of the same time, up 0.6 won from the previous transaction day.
