Hana Financial Group recommended extending the terms of the CEOs of six affiliates, including Hana Securities and Hana Life.
Hana Financial Group held the group's Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee (hereinafter the committee) and said on the 10th that it recommended extending the terms of Kang Sung-mook, CEO of Hana Securities, and Nam Goong-won, CEO of Hana Life Insurance.
CEO and President Kang Sung-mook, whose term extension was recommended that day, has led Hana Securities since 2023. Born in 1964.
The committee said of CEO Kang, "By shifting to an emergency management regime in response to deteriorating profitability, reorganizing the organization, and managing risk, he overcame the crisis and improved performance."
CEO and President Nam Goong-won of Hana Life Insurance was born in 1967 and has served since Jan. last year. The committee said Nam achieved performance improvement by diversifying sales channels.
Hana Financial Group also held the Affiliate Management Committee that day and recommended CEO candidates for five affiliates: Hana Asset Trust, Hana Alternative Asset Management, Hana Financial TI, Hana Insurance, and Hana F&I.
Lee Eun-bae, a vice president at Hana Bank, was nominated as the new CEO candidate for Hana F&I.
CEO and President Min Kwan-sik of Hana Asset Trust, CEO and President Jeong Hae-sung of Hana Alternative Asset Management, CEO and President Park Geun-young of Hana Financial TI, and CEO and President Bae Sung-wan of Hana Insurance were recommended for term extensions.
The CEO candidates recommended that day are expected to be finally appointed after going through each company's executive candidate recommendation committee, board of directors, and shareholders meeting.
