The Korea Exchange (KRX) said on the 2nd that it selected five corporations, including LOTTE HIMART, Shinsegae, Amorepacific Co., HD Hyundai and SK hynix, as this year's exemplary filers of corporate governance reports.
The award-winning corporations were assessed as having contributed to shareholder protection and to fostering a sound disclosure culture in the capital market through exemplary governance disclosures.
Since 2019, the Korea Exchange (KRX) has been recognizing listed corporations that faithfully and transparently disclose their governance status under the "Corporate Governance Report Guidelines" as exemplary filers of corporate governance reports.
Starting this year, listed corporations that disclosed plans to enhance corporate value and published English versions of their corporate governance reports received additional points.
Within this month, the Korea Exchange (KRX) plans to give advance notice of key inspection items for next year's corporate governance reports—such as disclosure deadlines and error items—to promote qualitative improvements in the reports.
In addition, as the mandatory disclosure requirement expands to all KOSPI-listed corporations starting next year, it plans to distribute guidance materials for smooth disclosures and provide systematic support to listed corporations, including one-on-one consulting and training related to report preparation.
