Toss Bank disclosed on the 2nd that it appointed former Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) CEO Kwon Sun-joo and former Securities and Futures Commission nonstanding Commissioner Song Chang-young as new outside directors. The term runs through Nov. 27, 2027.
Toss Bank said it appointed former CEO Kwon to the post of "lead independent director," who represents outside directors and connects the internal and external boards. The term lasts until the end of the regular shareholders meeting in March next year.
Former CEO Kwon served as an outside director at KB Financial Group for five years through March and chaired the KB Securities board last year. From 2013 to 2016, Kwon led Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) as CEO.
Former Commissioner Song served as a nonstanding Commissioner at the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) from 2021 to 2024.
