Alternative investment specialist asset manager Mastern Investment Management has appointed former Koramco Asset Management CEO Park Hyeong-seok as the new CEO.
Mastern Investment Management said on the 28th that it convened the executive nomination committee and named former CEO Park as the new chief executive in charge of management. Park, the CEO-designate, will officially take office on the 15th of next month after approval by an extraordinary shareholders meeting and the board of directors.
Park, the CEO-designate, is a real estate investment expert who earned a bachelor's and a master's in architectural engineering from Korea University and a master's in real estate from Cornell University in the United States. Park has worked at Samsung C&T, CBRE Korea's asset management division, and served as head of the real estate investment division at Orion Partners Korea.
After joining Koramco Asset Management in 2013, Park led the company as CEO for about eight years from 2017 until recently, spearheading the expansion of overseas investment portfolios and the strengthening of the institutional investor base. In particular, last year Park established the CEO-direct "Capital Markets Office," strengthening a strategic communication channel with global investors.
Mastern Investment Management plans to reinforce its management system and further refine its mid- to long-term growth strategy through this recruitment of an external professional manager.
