SK Securities said on the 27th that it simultaneously obtained certification for the anti-bribery management system (ISO 37001) and the compliance management system (ISO 37301) from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), a certification body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO 37001 is an international standard that assesses the adequacy and operating level of an internal control system for preventing, detecting, and responding to an organization's corruption risks, and ISO 37301 is a comprehensive evaluation criterion for whether the management system established to embed a culture in which corporations comply with laws is functioning in practice.
SK Securities assessed that through this ISO certification, "it has been officially proven that the anti-bribery and compliance management system is operating effectively at an international level."
SK Securities operates internal control and compliance organizations directly under the chief executive officer (CEO), including the Compliance Monitoring Division, the Risk Management Division, and the Financial Consumer Protection Office.
Chung Joon-ho, chief executive officer of SK Securities, said, "This integrated certification is the result of SK Securities consistently striving to make anti-bribery and compliance core management principles and to ingrain them across the organizational culture," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the compliance system and the risk management framework for corruption risks to solidify a trust-based management system and make our ethics and compliance culture even more robust."
