The KFCC Regional Hope Sharing Foundation said on the 26th that it successfully held a closing ceremony for the "2025 Youth Nuri Scholarship Support Program" on the 19th at the MG Hall at the KFCC headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul. KFCC Chairman and foundation chair Kim In and board members attended the ceremony.
The program was designed by the KFCC Foundation to promote housing stability for young people and help them grow into healthy members of society.
In May, the foundation selected 100 scholarship recipients and, over six months, provided experiential activities to foster a sense of community among young people and activate youth networks, including lectures, group volunteer work, and team-based planning activities. The scholarship recipients also received a monthly activity stipend and a Future Support Scholarship.
The top team, outstanding activity teams, and individuals received top, outstanding, and encouragement awards, respectively, along with 2.1 million won in prize money. Events also included a 400,000 won Future Support Scholarship and prize drawings. A graduating scholarship recipient who attended the closing ceremony said, "Beyond simple financial support, I experienced consolidation with society," adding, "Through the scholarship, I lightened the weight of living a little and gained the strength to challenge myself." The recipient added, "I think this experience will lead to greater growth in the future."
A foundation official said, "This closing ceremony was not a simple end but a moment to remember the time young people spent with their communities and to lay a stepping stone toward the future," adding, "We will continue to be a strong partner so that young people can grow proactively."
Since 2018, the foundation has continued a scholarship program that supports young people's housing and living stability and self-growth. Through this year, it has provided a total of 1.9 billion won to 800 scholarship recipients. This year, rebranded as Youth Nuri Scholarship, it provided a total of 450 million won to 100 young people through scholarships and social contribution and networking programs.
Foundation chair Kim In said, "The growth shown by the Youth Nuri scholarship recipients is the greatest reward for the KFCC Foundation and the hope of our society going forward," adding, "I hope today's closing ceremony will not be the end but a new starting point toward greater challenges."
