KSD Nanum Foundation, the social contribution arm of Korea Securities Depository (KSD), said on the 26th that on the 25th it delivered 30 million won in donations to the Korean Red Cross Busan Chapter at its Busan headquarters to support the Busan fisheries industry and vulnerable groups.
The donation was arranged at year's end to put the value of mutual growth into practice by supporting the Busan fisheries industry and to share warmth with neighbors in need in the community.
The Korean Red Cross plans to use the donations to purchase dried seafood sets produced by the Busan fisheries industry and deliver them to 1,200 households among socially disadvantaged groups, including grandparent-grandchild families and seniors living alone.
Chair Lee Sun-ho of KSD Nanum Foundation said, "We hope our neighbors can feel our society's concern and warmth, and we will continue to work to build a society where we live together."
