NCSOFT shares were strong early on the 24th. Buying is seen concentrating on news that the new title "Aion 2" is gaining popularity, with average daily active users (DAU) topping 1.5 million.
As of 9:23 a.m. that day, NCSOFT was trading at 207,000 won, up 15,700 won (8.21%) from the previous session.
NCSOFT said on the 21st that the DAU of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Aion 2, released on the 19th, surpassed 1.5 million. Aion 2 is the sequel to NCSOFT's flagship title "Aion."
Aion 2 faced criticism from users for a two-hour login error right after launch and for a monetization business model (BM) that encourages spending.
An NCSOFT official said, "We introduced native PC payments at launch, and the current share of PC payments exceeds 90% of the total," adding, "Those sales are not reflected in mobile app market rankings."
