Korea Exchange (KRX) said on the 19th that it took part in "FIA Expo 2025," the world's largest derivatives conference held in Chicago, U.S., from the 17th (local time) to the 18th, where it introduced Korea's derivatives market.
The event consisted of conference sessions across more than 40 tracks and promotional booths from more than 60 participating institutions. About 4,000 global financial derivatives industry officials attended.
During the event, the exchange ran a promotional booth and joined conference sessions to present the performance of the KRX night-time derivatives market, which opened in June, the newly listed KOSDAQ 150 weekly options in Oct., and major制度改革 matters.
In addition, through meetings with major overseas exchanges such as ICE and CME and with local investment institutions, it discussed bilateral cooperation plans on boosting market liquidity, extending transaction hours, and new product areas such as virtual assets.
Lee Kyung-sik, head of the derivatives market division at Korea Exchange (KRX), said, "Taking part in this FIA Expo allowed us to once again imprint the brand of the Korean derivatives market at the center of the global derivatives industry," and added, "We will strengthen communication with investors so derivatives can be used more actively, while working to create a stable and competitive market environment."
