Korea Investment & Securities said on the 18th that it is introducing a "safe investing alert" feature to its mobile trading system (MTS) and pushing system overhauls across the full process from product design to sales and post-sale management.
The "safe investing alert" is a feature intended to protect older investors and raise investor awareness, in line with the financial authorities' policy. If an investor shows high-risk investing patterns such as short-term trading, concentrated investing, or margin transactions, a warning message appears on the screen.
The alert includes guidance such as "Excessive concentrated investing and short-term trading, and stock investing using credit or loans, can cause large losses," and "Be cautious of inducements to invest using unverified rumors or text messages."
A Korea Investment & Securities official said, "We will continue to take related measures to minimize user fatigue while enhancing the effectiveness of delivering a sense of caution."
