With all NewJeans members, who had been in a dispute over their exclusive contracts with their agency ADOR, declaring their return, HYBE shares were strong early on the 13th.
As of 10:25 a.m. that day, HYBE was trading at 303,500 won, up 12,500 won (4.30%) from the previous session.
The day before, NewJeans members expressed their intention to return in full to their agency ADOR one year after declaring in November last year that they were terminating their exclusive contracts. ADOR said the same day that members Haerin and Hye-in decided to return after consultations.
On this news, HYBE shares surged nearly 9% in the aftermarket the day before.
Kim Min-young, a Meritz Securities analyst, said, "If NewJeans resumes activities, full-fledged music activities will be possible at the earliest from the second half of next year," and "from 2027, it will be able to contribute at least 20 billion–30 billion won or more in profit." Meritz Securities raised its target price for HYBE that day to 380,000 won from 370,000 won.
