Venture capital (VC) Krit Ventures moved to make an additional investment in the art transaction platform "Artue" (Artue).
Krit Ventures said on the 10th that its U.S. entity, Krit Ventures USA, recently made a strategic investment in Abitus Associate, the operator of Artue.
With this investment, Krit Ventures USA became the No. 2 shareholder of Abitus Associate on a combined basis across the funds it manages.
Artue is an AI-based art transaction platform that Abitus Associate unveiled in 2023 with the goal of building an "art market operating system for the age of artificial intelligence (AI)."
About 540 artists and some 4,000 works are currently registered on Artue, and it also features a function that recommends works by compiling user data.
Artue plans to use the investment from Krit Ventures USA to begin in earnest the tokenized securities (STO) conversion of physical art assets and the creation of a global art fund.
Krit Ventures USA said, "AI is evolving away from general-purpose competition into specialized models in content, design, and entertainment," adding, "Artue is a company leading the digital transition of the art market."
