Hana Securities said on the 28th that third-quarter net income on a consolidation basis came to 62.8 billion won, up 24.1% from a year earlier.
Operating profit during the same period surged 86.9% to 65.4 billion won.
On an accumulated basis for the third quarter this year, operating profit was 184.2 billion won and net income was 169.6 billion won.
Hana Securities noted that it delivered strong results on the back of a favorable market environment and proactive asset management.
In the wealth management (WM) segment, fee revenue increased thanks to a stock market boom, and in the investment banking (IB) segment, the focus was on acquisition finance performance and active management of held assets.
The company emphasized that in sales and trading (S&T), it maintained its lead in issuing derivative-linked securities. It added that it maintained revenue stability through risk management aligned with market volatility.
A Hana Securities official said, "We will strengthen competitiveness by expanding stable revenue bases for each business segment and introducing innovative financial services such as an integrated account service for foreign investors."
