Korea Investment Management said on the 30th that it held a kickoff ceremony for the first class of the "ACE exchange-traded fund (ETF) college student supporters" at its Yeouido headquarters the day before (29th).
The ACE ETF college student supporters program is a participatory initiative that promotes ACE ETFs through social networking services (SNS) and offline activities.
Korea Investment Management accepted supporter applications from college students nationwide from 1st to 10th, then selected 20 finalists.
Attendees at the supporters' kickoff included President Bae Jae-gyu of Korea Investment Management, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Sim Jae-hwan, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Cho Jun-hwan, and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Yoon Byung-moon. Ryu Ji-hae, Deputy Minister of the Digital Strategy Division in charge of ACE ETF digital marketing, and Yeom Jeong-in, Director General, also attended.
Bae said, "Many capable people applied to the first-ever college student supporters recruited by our company," adding, "We hope the supporters' creative activities will bring new energy to ACE ETFs, and we will spare no support so that the supporters' activities become a meaningful experience."
The activities of the first class of supporters, who received appointment letters that day, will continue for about five months until February next year. Supporters will receive a set activity stipend, special lectures by Korea Investment Management executives, and mentoring from ACE ETF practitioners, among other benefits.
In addition, upon completion, an evaluation will select outstanding teams and outstanding individuals. Outstanding teams and individuals will be granted an exemption from the document screening stage when Korea Investment Management conducts open recruitment of new employees.
