Korean virtual asset exchange Bithumb is joining hands with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a virtual asset financial corporations founded by U.S. President Donald Trump's family.
Bithumb said on the 23rd that it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with WLFI on 22nd. The two companies plan to jointly seek new business opportunities and explore ways to strengthen trust among global investors. WLFI is the issuer of the stablecoin USD1, which has a market capitalization of $3 billion (about 4 trillion won), and is gearing up to actively expand its business in the Korean market. Earlier this month, it listed USD1 on Bithumb and Upbit.
Bithumb CEO Lee Jae-won said, "This collaboration with WLF will be an important milestone in enhancing Bithumb's global competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our strategic network."
