The Korea Exchange said on the 22nd that it will host the Korea Capital Market Conference at the Westin Josun Hotel in Seoul from the 29th to the 30th.
Now in its second year, the conference was prepared to support communication among domestic and overseas market participants to advance Korea's capital market and strengthen its global competitiveness.
On the first day, the 29th, a special session will mark the record high of the KOSPI, addressing the significance of the milestone and tasks for the era of KOSPI 5000. It will discuss the direction of development for the Korean stock market and current issues in the capital market by sector, including exchange-traded products (ETP) and indexes and data.
On the 30th, with digital assets as the theme, the event will share major overseas cases related to the introduction of security token offerings (STO) and cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETF), and exchange views on how to successfully introduce related new products to our market.
During the event, side programs such as promotional booths for participating institutions, ETP product briefings, a roundtable for global institutional investors and one-on-one investment meetings will be held to expand opportunities for communication among market participants.
An exchange official said, "We plan to continue to develop this event so it can establish itself as a global capital market event that promotes Korea's capital market at home and abroad."
