Hana Card said on the 17th that it has launched Toss Bank's second PLCC product, "Toss Bank Hana Card Day (Day)."
The "Day" card offers a 10% discount in eight everyday categories, including private academies, hospitals, telecommunications, apartment maintenance fees, shopping, insurance, coffee, and golf. With monthly spending of at least 500,000 won in the previous month, customers can receive a 5,000 won discount per category, up to 30,000 won per month in total; with at least 1 million won in the previous month, they can receive 10,000 won per category, up to 50,000 won per month in total, for an expected annual savings of up to 600,000 won. The annual fee is 20,000 won for both domestic-only and international versions.
Earlier, Hana Card released the general-purpose "Toss Bank Hana Card Wide" with Toss Bank, which offers a 1% to 2% discount at all merchants. Wide is simple yet allows discounts of up to 100,000 won per month, so its usage rate and spending amount are significantly higher than other card products.
The newly introduced "Day," Toss Bank's second PLCC product, emphasizes differentiation from Wide by offering a higher discount rate in essential daily categories where spending is concentrated. Accordingly, customers can choose between "wide-ranging discounts (Wide)" and "daily-life focused discounts (Day)" based on their spending preferences.
"Day" can be easily applied for through the Toss Bank app, and the entire process—from issuance to use and benefit management—can be handled end to end within the Toss Bank app.
To mark the launch, the two companies are also running a 20,000 won annual fee cashback promotion for first-time "Day" card issuances through Oct. 31, 2025.
A Hana Card official said, "With the launch of this PLCC card, the PLCC product lineup has been further strengthened, and the range of choices based on customer spending patterns has broadened," adding, "In particular, by maximizing benefits in daily categories where customers actually spend a lot, we expect to increase household savings effects. We will continue to introduce tailored financial products that reflect diverse spending patterns through collaboration with Toss Bank."
