Deloitte Anjin Accounting LLC said on the 17th that it has developed an "AI-based internal accounting operations evaluation solution" that can perform corporations' internal accounting management system operations evaluations with artificial intelligence (AI).
KT&G and UNID jointly took part in a project to verify the solution's real-world applicability and effectiveness. Based on 2024 data, KT&G completed a pilot focused on key business areas, and UNID will begin full-scale verification in September. The two companies will pilot the solution in this year's operations evaluation and are reviewing ways to expand it in 2026 not only to overseas subsidiaries subject to internal accounting but also across their entire corporate groups.
The newly developed solution is designed as a customized model for each corporation to help internal accounting teams carry out operations evaluations more efficiently and accurately. Deloitte Anjin plans to advance the solution on a cloud basis starting in 2026 to build a system in which AI supports the entire internal accounting process, including multilingual support, automated evaluation planning, and automated report drafting.
Jang Su-jae, head of the audit practice at Deloitte Anjin, said, "This solution is a case that presents a new standard for internal accounting operations evaluation by using AI technology," adding, "Starting in 2026, through a cloud-based solution, we will help corporations easily conduct AI-based internal accounting evaluations with only minimal additional development."
