NH Investment & Securities said on the 15th that NCSoft's initial daily revenue for Aion 2, slated for release in Nov., will reach 2.5 billion won. It raised the target price to 300,000 won from 280,000 won and maintained its "buy" investment opinion.
NCSoft previously said through a live broadcast on the 11th that it will release Aion 2 on Nov. 19. The initial launch regions are Korea and Taiwan.
Aion 2, which began pre-registration, is receiving positive feedback from gamers. It does not include the excessive monetization model gamers were concerned about, and consists of a membership pass, cosmetics, and more. In the released gameplay footage, it shows the highest-level graphics among current mobile games, raising expectations.
NH Investment & Securities forecast that Aion 2's initial daily revenue will reach about 2.5 billion won, including 1.8 billion won in Korea and 700 million won in Taiwan. Next year's estimated total revenue is 594.6 billion won, with average daily revenue of 1.63 billion won.
An Jae-min, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, said, "Considering the performance of Netmarble's Seven Knights Rebirth and RF Online, which took the No. 1 spot in domestic app stores this year, we judge that 1.8 billion won in daily revenue in Korea is fully achievable," and added, "In Taiwan, there are precedents where Lineage M and Lineage 2M recorded high revenue, so if it receives a positive response, achieving the target looks likely."
