Yuanta Securities Korea said it will run a pre-order event for the soon-to-launch "Asset buds account YIPP" starting on the 15th.
Set for official launch on Oct. 1, YIPP is a customized account for young investors built on survey results. Along with a preferential interest rate, users can also get discounted stock trading fees.
Customers ages 20 to 35 can open the account on a first-come, first-served basis, up to 30,000 people. It offers preferential fees for domestic and overseas stock trading for up to 10 years. The benefit period varies by age. It also provides a repurchase agreement (RP) rate of up to 4% per year and gives a cash coupon of up to 25,000 won each month based on the transaction amount.
The pre-order event runs through the 25th, and customers who reserve can open a preliminary account from the 26th to the 30th. The first 10,000 people to open an account during this period will receive a 10,000-won GS convenience store gift card.
Details on YIPP and the event are available on the Yuanta Securities Korea website.
Kim Su-yong, head of digital strategy at Yuanta Securities Korea, said, "We expect YIPP, designed to reflect customer feedback, to establish itself as a comprehensive asset management account that covers everything from short-term cash management to long-term investing."
