Most large-cap stocks by market capitalization are rising. Chip bellwether Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are up 1.38% and 2.80%, respectively. The preferred share Samsung Electronics (preferred) is up 1.01%. LG Energy Solution, Samsung Biologics, Hanwha Aerospace, Hyundai Motor, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Kia are also gaining. By contrast, KB Financial and others are falling.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ was up 1.19 points (0.14%) at 834.19 in transaction. The KOSDAQ opened at 834.68, up 1.68 points (0.20%) from the previous session.
Among the top 10 stocks by market cap, ECOPRO BM, PharmaResearch, Ecopro, and HLB are rising. In contrast, Alteogen, Peptron, Rainbow Robotics, LigaChem Biosciences, ABL Bio, and Sam Chun Dang Pharm are falling.
On the 10th (local time), New York stocks ended mixed despite a surprise earnings release from U.S. Oracle and a drop in the August producer price index (PPI). On the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at 45,490.92, down 220.42 points (0.48%) from the previous session.
The same day, the large-cap-focused Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 rose 19.43 points (0.30%) to 6,532.04, while the Nasdaq composite added 6.57 points (0.03%) to close at 21,886.06.
