Korea Exchange's subsidiary Koscom announced on the 5th that it conducted volunteer activities with employee families in Myungwol Village, Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, on the 23rd of last month.
This volunteer activity was planned to address the labor shortage in Myungwol Village, which has a sister relationship, while also serving as a social contribution activity involving employee families to enhance employee satisfaction and strengthen family bonds.
Koscom has been in a sister relationship with Myungwol Village since 2011, engaging in various activities such as assisting with rural labor, purchasing village agricultural products, and donating to welfare facilities.
A total of about 40 employees, spouses, and children participated in this volunteer activity to help with the labor shortage during the busy farming season. In particular, employee children actively engaged in assisting rural labor while learning about agricultural culture through various experience events.
Kim Myung-gyun, Head of Team at Koscom, noted, 'We created programs to help farms that are short on labor and allow all employee families to learn the value of sharing together,' and added, 'We will continue to spread the culture of sharing and mutual growth.'
